Tours run in Arabic, English, French, Russian, Filipino and more. No booking needed for individuals; for groups larger than 15, or to be sure of a guide in a specific language, please contact the Center ahead of your visit.

VISITING RULES

For a pleasant visit

🧕 Modest dress for everyone: shoulders and knees covered. Abayas and headscarves are provided free for female visitors at reception.
👟 Shoes are removed before entering the prayer hall; shelves are provided.
🤫 Please keep voices low, be respectful of worshippers, and pause the tour during prayers.
📷 Photography is allowed in most areas — ask your guide, and avoid photographing worshippers without permission.
🍽️ No food or drink inside the prayer halls.
👨‍👩‍👧 Children are welcome, accompanied by their families.

I am not Muslim — can I visit the mosque?

Yes — warmly welcome. Non-Muslim visitors are received Saturday to Thursday on free guided tours, led by guides who are happy to answer your questions about Islam, the mosque and its history. Al-Fateh is one of Bahrain's foremost cultural destinations.

What should I wear?

Modest clothing covering shoulders and knees. Female visitors receive an abaya and headscarf free of charge at reception, returned when leaving.

Is the visit free? Do I need to book?

Entry and the guided tour are completely free. No booking for individuals and families; groups larger than 15 should arrange their visit in advance.

Can I attend or watch the prayer?

Tours pause during congregational prayers; visitors may wait in designated areas and quietly observe. If you are Muslim, the mosque is of course open for the five daily prayers and Friday prayer.

In which languages are tours available?

Arabic and English always; French, Russian, Filipino and others depending on the guides on duty. To be certain of a specific language, contact the Center before your visit.

Where is the mosque and how do I get there?

On Al-Fateh Highway in Juffair, Manama, next to the National Library. Free parking is available, and taxis and ride apps know it well.
